The MTA-BME Exotic Quantum Phases Research Group is a team of young theoretical physicists at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BME), focusing on condensed-matter physics and quantum information. We study strongly correlated quantum systems, topology in quantum physics, and the physics of quantum computing.
The group has been founded in 2011 as part of the Momentum (Lendület) program of the Hungarian Academy of Science (MTA).
Group leader: Prof. Gergely Zaránd.
Supporting institutions/agencies: NKFIH/OTKA, FIKP/TKP, Ministry of Innovation and Technology (ITM).
